The mission of the Affirmative Action Program (AAP) is to facilitate equal opportunity throughout the department, and throughout the workforces of TDOT highway construction contractors, by ensuring all employment practices are conducted in a fair manner which affords employees and applicants equal employment on the basis of merit, experience and other work related criteria without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age (over 40), disability or political affiliation.
