TDOT Maintenance operates through a decentralized organization that Headquarters Maintenance guides, supports, and assists field maintenance forces through each Regional organizational structure. The Headquarters Maintenance Division is comprised of six separate offices. Each of these offices provides a wide variety of programs and services. Some particular functions that are provided are signing and marking, rest area services, engineering investigations, program and project development, procedure and guideline development, statewide budgeting, railway inspection and regulation, and liaison services with counterparts in other states. The Maintenance Division has 42 positions that make up the following six offices.
