Jeff JonesJeff Jones, the Assistant Chief Engineer of Design, is responsible for the coordination of the project development process and specific problem resolution for the Bureau of Engineering. He has direct oversight for three divisions; Design, Right-of-Way and Structures.

He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee. After joining TDOT, he served as a Roadway Design Supervisor and as a Project Manager until his appointment as Director of the Design Division in June of 1999. He represents the Department on the AASHTO Subcommittee on Design and is a member of the AASHTO Technical Committee on Geometric Design. Jones was appointed as Assistant Chief Engineer of Design in May, 2010.
