Steve M. Hall is the Assistant Chief Engineer of Operations for the Department of Transportation. He has under his direction the divisions of Incident Management, Materials and Tests, Construction & Maintenance.

Hall is a registered engineer in Tennessee. He is a 1980 graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where he earned a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. He has been with TDOT for more than 30 years. Previously, he has worked in the Structures Division, served as Assistant Director of the Construction Division and Assistant Director of Region 3 in Nashville. He has also served as the Assistant Director of the Materials and Test Division’s Research and Product Evaluation Section.
