The goal of the TDOT Community Relations Division is to improve and maintain TDOT's relationships with citizens as well as communities and other constituencies across the state. This Division includes: Constituent Services and Public Involvement and Communication and TDOT's Public Information Office. Our goal is to listen to communities and citizens, to give them a role in the transportation process and to be responsive to their needs.
Our Mission:
To promote TDOT's mission through communication, to integrate the concerns of our customers into our processes, and to provide accurate and timely information.

B.J. Doughty is the Community Relations/Communications Director for TDOT. She holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. As the Director of the Community Relations Division, B.J. oversees and directs activities in the areas of media, communications, public involvement, and constituent services. Before joining TDOT, B.J. worked as a television news producer at WKRN Ch. 2 in Nashville.
