Brian Egan, P.E.

Brian EganBrian Egan is the Director of the Construction Division. As Director of the Construction Division, Egan oversees the preparation of proposals and letting to contract all Department of Transportation highway and bridge projects. Contract administration on TDOT projects and writing TDOT specifications and special provisions is also the responsibility of this division. The Construction Division pre-qualifies all contractors who work on TDOT projects and approves all first tier subcontracts for road and bridge construction.

Egan has a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He worked for the Federal Highway Administration from 1989 until 2000 when he joined the Tennessee Department of Transportation as the Assistant Director of the Materials and Test Division. He was appointed Director of Construction in July, 2008.
