The Environmental Facilities Compliance Office is charged with ensuring that TDOT’s facilities and construction sites comply with current environmental regulations. This office provides the oversight, training, and technical expertise necessary for compliance in the following areas: (click on each area for additional information)
Most recently, TDOT, along with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), developed a Statewide Storm Water Management Plan (SSWMP). The Environmental Compliance Office will help to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to prevent and minimize the impact of storm water runoff at various stages of a transportation project.
