2013 Tennessee Operations and Safety Conference Presentations
The Tennessee Operations and Safety Conference were held on November 19-21, 2013.
The purpose of the annual Tennessee Operations and Safety Conference was to present strategies on better safety and operational practices for Tennessee's roadways by having national and local speakers discuss methods for identifying locations with high crash data and/ or crash patterns on specific roadway, along with strategies to make safety improvements to these areas of concern.
The conference also had sessions on best practices on operational issues that we face every day in keeping our roadways functioning, and how to guide our future planning in areas of performance measures, integrated planning/operations, incident management and components of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). A variety of speakers provided power point presentations on areas in incident management and on how to improve the management of highway incidents.
