Training


The Local Programs Development Office offers required Local Government Guidelines Manual and Right-of-Way Training. The certification is valid for a period of three years.

There is also a required Consultant Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Training Course for local governments and their respective CEI staff who wish to perform the CEI requirements for their Federally funded project or consultants. There are two levels of participation. The first level (One-Day Training Class) will address the needs of local government officials and administrators concerned with managing program funding and overseeing the construction phase. The second level (Two-Day Training Class) will focus on CEI Consultants that implement the CEI component of project delivery that flows through the local program process. The certification is valid for a period of five years.

TDOT’s Local Programs Development and Right-of-Way Office will be holding a training for local municipalities and professional engineering firms. This class is required in order to locally manage a project through the Local Programs Office. This class certification is valid for three years. This class will fill up quickly on a first come basis.

LPDO CEI TRAINING COURSE SCHEDULE

NEXT LOCAL PROGRAMS CEI TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

The Office of Local Program Development has prepared a LPDO CEI Training Course which has two levels of application. The first level (One-Day Training Class) will address the needs of local government officials and administrators mostly concerned with managing program funding and overseeing the construction phase. The second level (Two-Day Training Class) will focus on those (CEI Consultants) that implement the CEI component of project delivery that flows through the local program process. This course will be required curriculum for local governments and their respective CEI staff who wish to perform the CEI requirements for their Federally funded project or consultants. The primary goal of the second level training is to insure that consultants who wish to perform CEI work for local agencies fully understand the extent of their responsibilities.

CEI Professionals - May 27-28 [9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (27th), 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (28th)]


TDOT Region 3, Nashville (Region 3 Auditorium)
Gov’t Officials & Administrators - June 2 (10:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
CEI Professionals - June 3-4 [9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (3rd ), 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (4th)]

COSTS
Consultant costs for the two day course is $125 per attendee (certificates will be provided for 10 professional development hours for the two-day course). There is no charge for government personnel. Payment is requested in advanced via company check payable to:
