City maintenance contracts are agreements with local agencies for maintenance of the paved surface on state owned highways that fall within the urban city limits. Through these contracts, an agreement between the city and the state ensures that maintenance of the roadway will be completed by the city on behalf of the state.

Activities that are reimbursable through city maintenance contracts can be found in Exhibit A.
