Notice of Public Meeting The Tennessee Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting on Thursday, July 7, 2005 to discuss a new alternative, Alternate G, for the proposed extension of State Route 397 (Mack Hatcher Parkway). The meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Centennial High School, 5050 Mallory Lane, in Franklin, Tennessee. The extension of Mack Hatcher Parkway as proposed is a four-lane divided roadway on a minimum 250 feet of right-of-way and is approximately 9 miles in length Earlier this year, the City of Franklin passed a resolution asking the Tennessee Department of Transportation to evaluate a new alternative, Alternative G, which extends from SR 96 to US 431 (SR106) north of Franklin. Alternative G was not evaluated in the original Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). TDOT has now prepared Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) to evaluate Alternative G. This meeting will include a short formal presentation and a brief question and answer period. Representatives from the Department, the City of Franklin and Williamson County will be present to provide information about general location, design features, tentative schedules and any other matters of interest. The public is invited to ask questions and make comments during the meeting and will be given the opportunity to make their opinions known concerning the need for this project. Written statements and other exhibits in place of, or in addition to, oral statements made at the meeting must be submitted to Project Comments: Office of Constituent Services, Tennessee Department of Transportation, Suite 700, James K. Polk Building, 505 Deaderick Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37243-0332, within ten (10) days following the meeting. |
