The Mission Statement
To provide support to Multimodal transportation providers through funding and technical assistance. To promote public private partnerships in transportation to impact economic development and environmental improvements. Multimodal staff members will facilitate by providing the technical assistance necessary for grant applications and awards and by supporting planning efforts consistent with departmental goals. In every action we will strive to respond to the needs of our customers by "going the extra mile" to reach the citizens and businesses in need of our services.
The Division of Multimodal Transportation Resources includes the Office of Passenger Transportation and the Office of Rail and Waterway Freight Transportation. The Office of Passenger Transportation is responsible for public transit, planning and public awareness, and research and technical assistance. The Office of Rail and Waterway Freight Transportation administers the funding of rail and track improvements and waterways assistance.
