US 127 North - Cumberland and Fentress Counties

Project Description

The project involves widening State Route 28 (SR-28) / US-127 North.  The project begins at Interstate 40 (I-40) in Cumberland County and ends at State Route 62 (SR-62) at Clarkrange in Fentress County.  The project is divided into four sections:

  • Section 1, PIN 100260.01 –From north of I-40 to Near Legion Road, Cumberland County – Project Length 4.5 miles
  • Section 2, PIN 100260.03 – From near Legion Road to near Hollow Lane, Cumberland County – Project Length 3.7 miles
  • Section 3, PIN 100260.04 – From near Hollow Lane to near Lowe Road, Cumberland County – Project Length 2.9 miles
  • Section 4, PIN 100260.05 – From near Lowe Road in Cumberland County to SR-62 at Clarkrange, Fentress County – Project Length 2.6 miles.

Sections 1-3 of the project generally follow the existing route.

The bridge and approaches over Clear Creek, shown in Section 4, will be relocated on new location to the east of the existing alignment.  Section 4 ends at the existing intersection at SR-62 in Clarkrange.
