US 127 North - Cumberland and Fentress Counties


Project Description

The project involves widening State Route 28 (SR-28) / US-127 North.  The project begins at Interstate 40 (I-40) and ends at State Route 62 (SR-62) in Clarkrange, in Cumberland and Fentress Counties.  The project is divided into four sections:

  • Section 1 –From north of I-40 to Near Lickfork Creek, Cumberland County
  • Section 2 – From near Legion Road to near Hollow Lane, Cumberland County
  • Section 3 – From near Hollow Lane to near Lowe Road, Cumberland County
  • Section 4 – From  near Lowe Road in Cumberland County, to SR-62 at Clarkrange, Cumberland and Fentress Counties.

Sections 1-3 of the project generally follow the existing route.

The bridge over Clear Creek, shown in Section 4, is relocated on new location to the east of the existing alignment.  Section 4 ends at the existing intersection at SR-62 in Clarkrange.
